Objective of Anti-Ragging Committee

The primary objective of the Anti-Ragging Committee is to eliminate ragging in all forms and create a safe, secure, and student-friendly environment conducive to learning and personal development.

Functions of the Anti-Ragging Committee

  1. Prevent Ragging
    • Formulate and implement measures to prevent ragging in the institution and hostels.
  2. Create Awareness
    • Conduct awareness programs, orientation sessions, seminars, and campaigns on the ill effects and legal consequences of ragging.
  3. Monitor Campus Activities
    • Maintain constant vigilance in classrooms, laboratories, hostels, canteens, playgrounds, buses, and other vulnerable areas.
  4. Receive Complaints
    • Receive and register complaints related to ragging from students, parents, staff, or any other stakeholders.
  5. Investigate Incidents
    • Conduct prompt inquiries into reported incidents of ragging and collect evidence from all concerned parties.
  6. Recommend Disciplinary Action
    • Recommend appropriate disciplinary measures against students found guilty of ragging as per government and institutional rules.
  7. Ensure Student Safety
    • Protect victims and witnesses from intimidation, harassment, or retaliation.
  8. Coordinate with Authorities
    • Liaise with college administration, hostel authorities, police, and district administration whenever necessary.
  9. Maintain Records
    • Keep proper records of complaints, inquiries, actions taken, and preventive measures implemented.
  10. Display Anti-Ragging Information
    • Ensure anti-ragging notices, helpline numbers, and regulations are prominently displayed on campus and on the college website.
  11. Counsel Students
    • Arrange counseling and mentoring programs to promote healthy interaction between senior and junior students.
