Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

Objective

To provide a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive environment for all students and employees by preventing, prohibiting, and addressing complaints of sexual harassment and ensuring fair and confidential redressal of grievances.

Functions

  1. Receive Complaints
    • Receive and register complaints related to sexual harassment from students, faculty, and staff.
  2. Conduct Inquiry
    • Investigate complaints promptly, fairly, and impartially in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
  3. Ensure Confidentiality
    • Maintain confidentiality of complaints, proceedings, and the identities of the parties involved.
  4. Recommend Appropriate Action
    • Recommend disciplinary or corrective measures based on the findings of the inquiry.
  5. Provide Support to Aggrieved Persons
    • Offer guidance, counseling, and necessary assistance to complainants during the inquiry process.
  6. Create Awareness
    • Organize awareness programs, workshops, and sensitization activities on prevention of sexual harassment and gender equality.
  7. Maintain Records and Submit Reports
    • Maintain records of complaints and actions taken, and submit periodic reports to the Principal and concerned authorities as required.
