SC/ST Cell Committee

Objective

To safeguard the rights and interests of SC/ST students, ensure equal opportunities in education, address grievances related to discrimination, and promote their academic, social, and overall development in the institution.

Functions

  1. Ensure Equal Opportunities
    • Promote equality and prevent discrimination against SC/ST students in academic and campus activities.
  2. Address Grievances
    • Receive, examine, and resolve complaints related to discrimination, harassment, or denial of rights.
  3. Monitor Welfare Measures
    • Ensure proper implementation of Government scholarships, fee reimbursements, and welfare schemes for SC/ST students.
  4. Create Awareness
    • Conduct awareness programs on constitutional rights, Government schemes, and student welfare provisions.
  5. Provide Academic Support
    • Identify academically weak students and facilitate remedial coaching, mentoring, and counseling support.
  6. Promote Inclusive Environment
    • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus atmosphere free from caste-based discrimination.
  7. Maintain Records and Submit Reports
    • Maintain records of SC/ST student welfare activities, grievances, and actions taken, and submit reports to the Principal and concerned authorities.

Internal Complaints Committee

Objective

To provide a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive environment for all students and employees by preventing and addressing complaints related to sexual harassment and ensuring dignity, equality, and justice in the institution.

Functions

  1. Receive Complaints
    • Receive complaints related to sexual harassment from students, faculty, and staff members.
  2. Conduct Inquiry
    • Conduct fair, impartial, and confidential inquiries into complaints received.
  3. Recommend Action
    • Recommend appropriate disciplinary action against individuals found guilty of misconduct.
  4. Create Awareness
    • Organize awareness programs, workshops, and seminars on gender sensitization and prevention of sexual harassment.
  5. Ensure Confidentiality
    • Maintain confidentiality of complaints, proceedings, and identities of the parties involved.
  6. Provide Support
    • Offer guidance and support to complainants during the grievance redressal process.
  7. Promote Safe Environment
    • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free campus environment.
  8. Maintain Records
    • Maintain records of complaints received, inquiries conducted, actions taken, and submit reports to the competent authorities.
